WHY STORYTELLING IS GOOD FOR OUR LIVES
Many people feel stories are out of date.
That “happily ever after” and “once upon a time” need to go take a hike.
Stories still to this day are how we pass down our history, heritage, and hopes. It is how we teach our youth how to live, act, and be. Stories create our cultural norms and inspire us to live to our fullest human potential.
Stories be them oral, written, acted out on stage, screen, or via video- Tap so much more of our brain that a list of actions ever would,
Stories use our senses in ways nothing short of living that moment does. We can recreate sounds and tastes, bring back memories from our past, take us back to how we felt that moment we felt love for the first time.
Stories create new memories and use our existing ones to create better ones.
Rewriting our stories can stop self destructive habits in their paths, can motivate us to not give up, and create a mindset of success.
