WHY DO WE USE NONVERBAL COMMUNICATION

Nonverbal communication is the message we are saying when we aren’t saying a word. It predates our written and spoken languages.

Though seemingly primitive and unevolved, the truth is nonverbal communication is a better base line of truth than any word could ever be.

Nonverbal communication cannot be faked (for long periods of time), the person’s true intent can not be hidden, and we can’t stop. No matter how hard we try, if someone can see you, they can see your nonverbal.

It is for these reasons that we should use and trust the nonverbal communication we see. As well as hone our nonverbal message.

Yet most of us don’t allow our mind the time or opportunity to use such valuable information. And by taking this “more advanced” (said in my most snottiness, upper aristocat tone) we actually lose real world advantage.

We enter into relationships that should have never been, lose money on deals that should have never been made, create turmoil that uses our energy fighting battles that were never meant to be.

I am not saying that listening to and acting on your nonverbal communication is your savior, but it is that fairy godmother all those childhood fairy tales speak of.

Your nonverbal communication skills and actions can make magical events occur, shut down the negative evil stepsisters, and call your “happily ever after” to you.

So take heed, listen to and take action on  one of the greatest tools God has ever given you, nonverbal communication.
