HOW TO MEASURE YOUR PERSONAL BRAND: THE SEVEN QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF IF REAL GROWTH IS REALLY OCCURRING

How To Measure Your Personal Brand.png

ROI is a term that makes great business sense, but not brand sense especially when it comes to building your personal brand.

Brands are not positively defined by one specific action. Though there maybe some highlights, overall brands are the long game not the short one.

Nothing could be a more true statement when trying to calculate the effectiveness of your personal brand.

When it comes to measuring the effectiveness of your personal brand, in all of my 18 plus years of working in and with brands I have never found a clean formula that produces quantitative answers.

Personally, my team and I use the below checklist as a measure of the effectiveness of one's personal brand.

  • Does the client (aka you) feel positive about where they are at currently?

  • Define the main focus of the client's actions since the last review. Is this in alignment with the overall brand? If not, do the actions or the brand need to be shifted?

  • What growth, be it increased social media traffic, increased contacts, or increased visibility in or outside of their industry has occurred since the last evaluation?

  • What opportunities can be fully utilized in the next few months that would better strengthen the brand’s objectives?

  • Are the BIG 10 growth points being fully utilized?

  • What new relationships online or offline have arisen that we can connect deeper with?

  • Does an evolution need to occur within the client's Genesis or SoulFire(™) stories to reach the next level of growth?

By reviewing your personal brand every 3-6 months you can begin to see the baby steps of growth.

These will be BABY steps! For the most part.

Try not to over course correct. Trust your gut and that wisdom you had when you began this process. Only correct when you see a clear, discernible negative within your plan.

Other than that enjoy, evaluate, and experience all that life has to offer. That's how you build a killer personal brand anyway.
