3 WAYS TO MASTER YOUR 30 SECOND PITCH WHEN YOU ARE A MULTIPLATFORM BRAND
30 second pitches can be hard enough, but when you are dealing with a multiplatform brand you just reached a new level of difficult.
Creating the perfect 30 second when you are a multiplatform brand is all about knowing your audience and knowing your “why.”
The great thing is that if you always speak to your “why” and leave the logistics on “how” out you will be safe.
But sometimes safe and fully effective are two different things.
Here are 3 ways to always have your 30 second pitch be the most effective.
No One Cares About “How.”
As the expression goes, “No one wants to know how they make the hot dog.” You most likely love the “how”, but no one else does. Your audience just wants to enjoy the outcome. So no matter how much you want to talk to the “how” don’t.
2. Sell Your Superhero-ness.
As a multiplatform brand, you understand your area of expertise more than most. So sell your superhero ways! Just remember, that Lois didn’t fall in love with the logistics of how Superman rescued her. She fell in love with the fact that he was always there and that she was safe in knowing that he would always rescue her.
3. Have a word.
Though no one wants to be put in a box, the truth is that is exactly how our brains are hardwired. We love categorizing people. So have your “category” ready if asked.
Personally I have chosen the category of “branding.” Does the word “branding’ describe 100% of what I do.
It does, however, fit as an overall blanket to the end result my clients receive.
So find your word that people instantly get, and that works for the most part.
Pitching a multi platform brand requires you to know who you are speaking to and what you want out of the situation at hand. If you know and speak to those two things, you will be golden!
